Classes

At IndigoKid, we offer a range of classes to children of primary school age.

Our focus is on the early development of their creativity. The list of the subjects we teach is as follows:

Languages (6 to 12 y.o.)

Learning additional languages increases critical thinking skills, creativity and flexibility of the mind in young children. Children who grow up learning about languages develop empathy for others and a curiosity for different cultures and ideas which makes them prepared to take their place in a global society.

Creative writing (7 to 12 y.o.)

Designed to spark a lifelong love of writing, our Creative Writing program is a fun and engaging way to spark kids’ creativity. The students develop essential language skills and build creative confidence in a warm, nurturing environment. They gain an understanding of the fundamentals of writing that will see them through their primary school years and beyond. Our after-school writing classes are a free space where young people can write, create and dream big.
During our creative writing classes, students create stories through fun activities and writing games. Every week we build on students’ ideas, and by the end of the term, they’ll have a publication featuring their very own collection of creative writing.

Coding for kids (8 to 12 y.o.)

Our coding classes provide kids-oriented projects and tips to get the students programming. We use the platforms like Scratch and learn to code while adventuring through the Overworld of Minecraft. With adventures that include design, music, animation, gaming, and more, learners will discover tons of ways coding connects to other activities they love and how far a little imagination and invention can take them. Students use games, mods, experiments and learn to tackle large tasks by breaking them down into smaller, more manageable steps. Whether brand-new to coding or looking for more hands-on learning, our classes help young coders advance in technology education by leaps and bounds – and have fun doing it.

TRIZ (4 to 10 y.o.)

TRIZ is translated from Russian as Theory of Inventive Problem Solving. This is the method that is used by many successful companies to increase effectiveness. Classes represent games, investigations, and riddles that will make your child think, think and… think again! TRIZ develops children’s creativity and thinking skills and involves problem-solving and research.
